Member Benefits
Business Contacts: The Wetzel county Chamber of
Commerce hosts several networking opportunities to help put you in
touch with other people who may become new clients or customers for
your firm’s goods and services. We sponsor events ranging from
Business After hours to business seminars and focus groups.
Representations: efficient, cost-effective
government is of utmost concern to your business. Business people
must be active in government or pay the price of living with
enacted laws that may not be good for business. The Wetzel County
Chamber of Commerce is working to develop an advocacy arm to
provide members with governmental updates and concerns affecting
area businesses.
Business Education: Action-oriented seminars and
programs presented by area experts help you expand your business
and find solutions to common business problems, enhance leadership
and management skills, increase trade opportunities and sharpen
political awareness. These programs are offered free to members.
Business Referral Service: The Chamber of Commerce
is often the first point of contact for information for both
visitors and persons relocating to the county. The Chamber also
serves
as a resource for existing businesses
and residents. The Chamber office receives calls every day
requesting information on local products and services. Callers and
visitors are referred to Chamber members who fit their needs.
Relocation requests are mailed a Community & Business Directory
and packet to better acquaint them with their transition.
Website Business Listing and Links: All Chamber
members receive one free listing on the Chamber website and a link
to their business homepage.
Exposure: As a Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce
member, you will have the marketing edge over your competition
through opportunities to display your business literature and
receive free advertising during sponsorship events.
Recognition: The Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce
promotes achievements of its members through local and state
recognition. The Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce is also
available for ribbon-cutting ceremonies for grand openings and open

them in the upcoming monthly newsletter. Ribbon cuttings can also
be arranged for relocations of existing businesses, changes of
ownership, or other significant happenings in the life of a
business.

ability to alert members of community happenings through our e-mail
database. This e-mail service is free to Chamber members to promote
community events and happenings.
